Many people knew that the war was a fraud. Sen. Byrd did. Rep. Kucinich did. Talk-show hosts Bernie Ward and Ray Taliaferro out here on the West coast did. Kerry should have known. IMO, his performance doesn't qualify to be a "Profile in Courage", though I admire him for his service in Vietnam and elsewhere. Make no mistake, if it is Bush vs. Kerry, I will almost surely go for Kerry. But I won't be so enthusiastic as I would be if it were Dean or Clark.
