What must be painful for those babies is France's doubts about the case Bush administration made for Iraq have all come true - no WMDs, Iraqis detest the occupation, US/UK soldiers stuck between a rock and a hard place getting shot at on a daily basis.

And still, they have to bash France, no doubt oblivious to just how silly that makes them look - "He was right but he still shouldn't opposed us" etc etc

I thought that actually sounded like an interesting book. Of course I think the idea of "friendship" among nations is rather silly. We're all out for our own interests, and it is naive baby think to expect anything else. The clever thing to do is to make sure one's interests allied with whoever you need to help you- something this government is absolutely incapable of doing.
