They were afraid for his security. So nobody knew.

But they made sure to have plenty of cameras.

Did you see how he made sure to pose for cameraman while holding the turkey plate.

Btw, I also think it was a nice gesture to visit the troops. But to believe that it was not also politically motived is pretty naive, IMHO.

Imagine what you would be saying now if it was Clinton doing that.

If President Bush was doing this just for a political stunt, he would have taken every reporter in the country with him, 500 camera crews would have been waiting in the Dining hall, etc etc.

You left out the "staged rocks" so he could create a cross while carving a turkey!
