If Revelation was written in 86 AD, I believe that John would have mentioned that most horrific event in the lives of the Jews in his revelation. He does not because he is seeing 70 AD before the fact!

That does not sound reasonable to me. Why would John talk about anything but the Revelation God was giving him? God said to write what he was shown! He wouldn't write anything else. And there would be no reason to mention past history in a Revelation God was giving about future events anyhow. John would be faithful in what he recorded.

You are right James - the time of repentance was past.
Those who had rejected the Gospel were to be left in their sin
because they were OUT OF TIME

Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still:
and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:
and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:
and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

The TIME HAD COME the wrath of the Lamb of God was about to be poured out.
