Enron and Bush were inseperable. The desperate RNC attempt to separate Bush and Enron and blame it on Clinton is laughable and totally lame.

Bush wanted to name Key Lay Treasury Secretary. Bush flew on Enron's jets. They paid for his annaurguration. They hired his political operatives. They bundled money from Enron emplyees for Bush. They were like Siamese Twins. No corporation has even given as much or helped a candidate as much as Enron did Bush.

Bush-Cheney would have made Enron better off than Halliburton if the house of cards hadn't fallen so soon. The Bush-Enron relationship goes way back and is legion. Don't even try and debate it by blaming it on their $200 donation to Hillary and 250 K to Lieberman. Enron gave a lot of people money, but they gave most of it to Bush.

Bush-Cheney also turned a blind eye to the mammoth Enron-led ripoffs of consumers during the phony energy crisis. That alone was a huge payback. Worth billions.
