Yep, it lasted for a while in Japan... Their 10-year rates
dropped to 1%. There is one big difference, though - Japan
had huge trade surplus and deflation. Bonds are supposed to
go up, and decouple from stocks in deflationary environment.
I think the Japanese savings in part financed
the great American bubble. Things are very different here
now, and I don't think America will follow the Japanese
collapse model. We'll get much lower dollar, higher
inflation, higher interest rates, and lower stocks.
There is even a slim chance of hyperinflation. BWDIK?
