The Zogby numbers are shocking, but not surprising. The stylistic differences between Dean and Kerry are telling. Kery may be built for a general election, where gravitas rules, but Dean is definitely hot-wired for primaries.

I was very impressed by Dean's performance on Hardball the other evening. He was assertive and seemingly in command of his facts. There are a couple of buts. He has an unfortunate tendency to be flippant (like McCain), a trait that is guaranteed to get him into trouble (as it has already), and comes across as occasionally arrogant (like 90% of all doctors). I would expect his handlers to start filtering him when the stakes get higher.
