The Perfect expresso maker is solid silver, Dali-Botticelli design, with brass nameplate engraved with cochineal inlay, "Tiffany 1893". It does not have to actually make any coffee, but you could sell it as an art object for 20,000.

OT: "the quest for the perfect espresso machine"

I'm quite pleased with my Lavazza cartridge machine. Recommended to me when I was in Italy, by a couple of individuals that use them.

Hi Louis:

<Currently DDing on the impact of currencies across various markets: not sure that holding performant North American stocks would outperform multinationals or even European stocks>

You and I had some discussions about this sort of things recently.
I do not mean "il caffe' corretto con grappa" -a spiritual experience if drank in the right place, at the right time with the right type of grappa that does not get exported.

I mean the euro, the battle of the currencies, the global struggle for economic and political control and power. I have been reading as much as I can on this stuff: all kind of newspapers for various countries, stuff that you and other world visionaries <g> such as Jay Chen post around and on their own websites.
This is extremely time consuming and right now my time is very limited. I can’t keep up with it.

I am looking at subscribing to some newsletters, sites, … I don’t now what exactly, but a place where someone puts a lot of this info together for me. Someone that does not have a North-American perspective (with all do respect for our American and Canadian friends), but a global view.

Any suggestions? Is anyone else interested in this topic?

Thanks,

Ciao and cheers - Anna
