I am not into forecasting price tops, but I will say that this would be the first cycle ever to come and go without the majority of major equipment companies splitting their stocks. A normal upturn has the major names splitting their shares at least once, and sometimes several times. I am amazed that people are predicting the end of this upcycle even though we have not yet see companies split their shares once. And because of the protracted downturn, I am a believer that the upcycle will be longer also with probably more splits than usual.

mjoe, the rise of semi equipment bookings has just begun and it's too early to anticipate the top. But you want to sell AMAT well before that top, whenever you think it will occur. Relationship between price and SEMI equipment bookings chart [may not repeat this way!]... home.comcast.net

It is human nature to eventually create another bubble and when that happens it will have to be popped. But when that happens? I don't know but I think there will be more bubbles closer together than ever before.
