I would say if China had a free election today, the most extreme nationalist would win. Taiwan is NOT the only issue for the angry Chinese (there are plenty of them), the softness of the Chinese gov. towards foreigners is the issue. So whoever shows the strongest nationalism would definitely win.

Those who wish China to have free election of their highest ranking official should be careful with what they dream<g>
