Statistics on "current retirees" are meaningless, IMO, as so many people now in their late 70s upwards are retirees from Big Corporate America when pensions were "offered."

To my knowledge, beginning in -- and because of -- Reagan's run, the biggest of the big (i.e. CHV) stopped funding pensions per se. Take your lump sum annuity and GTF out, like.

I would like to see stats on boomer employment specifically about percentages by age of pension/retirement health insurance coverage. I'll bet my last FDR dime -g- that none exist.
