I know England prints just about everything these days.

In a nutshell, free trade stinks for the average person, who afterall is the most important living being on the globe. I don't want all my clothes made elsewhere, or all my food grown anywhere but right here where I live. When we become dependent on foreign entities we cease to be completely free. Freedom is worth paying a little more for certain items. If we eliminate our steel production, we can no longer defend ourselves from those forces in the world who choose to imprint their own culture on face of the world(translation: radical Islamists, for one).
What about your salary and your standard of living? When will someone tell you to be content that it will be lowered in order to make multi-national corporation execs even wealthier. We'll start lowering salaries with yours. O.K.? Since you are such a champion of free trade, will you volunteer to have your salary lowered for the good of the WTO??
