Something is inherently phony about SS and Medicare when there is a wage limit of about $70K on SS and NO LIMITS on Medicare's 2.9%. Patently obvious that large salaries are paying medical costs for others.

You are the idiot! I am saying to reduce payroll taxes to the extent so that SS and Medicare are balanced. Got it??!! Any increases should be only to keep the SS and Medicare budgets balanced going forward. Right now, those surpluses are going to fund the tax cuts, even while we are running huge deficits, fighting wars here, there and everywhere.
