This time, there will be major protests to the current mess, around about October when the economy is still stumbling and job growth anemic.

Yeah same old economy. No real recovery for the voters in 04, that is Bush's achilles heel. Profits will remain high due to the offshoring of jobs but a lot of good that does the states and the people in them.

Dean is left. What do you mean it's not working? Name one non-leftist who has endorsed him. He has 16% nationally. Maybe that will grow to 25%. That is exactly the size of the very-liberal left in the Dem party. Or about 10% of the overall voters. I'm sure they will all support Dean. Meanwhile centrists are the majority and are getting Dean stuffed down their throat. Just watch, they'll vomit him back up. A lot of talk now about buyer's remorse vis a vis Dean. Even angry voters will stop and think if Dean has a snowball's chance against Bush. imho he doesn't. 60-40% Bush win. That's a landslide. Would be a real heartbreaker.
