This seems to be just your style. People like me know the drill with you, you take some really obvious, in your face facts and try to dispute them. Like the job loss situation in this country, what has happened to wages under Bush, and Bush's disapproval ratings. It sounds like you think employment in the US is hunky dory and you keep citing *unemployment numbers* when we both know those are only indicative of how many people actually bother to file. Half the unemployed engineers I know, some of which are actually civil engineers in Ohio, have exhausted their benefits. UI numbers are useless after 3 years of jobs declines. As far as Bush's record, this conversation started with me saying this is the worst unemployment I have seen. Lets assume I have been in the workforce for 25 years shall we? You then go back and forth with your buddies about how I must be 12 years old. Well let me say again, this is THE WORST EMPLOYMENT I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE. Statistics back it up, in fact you yourself just dug up a bunch of numbers from the EARLY 80s and 70s for gods sake as some sort of validation that Bush "isn't all that bad". Well heres the problem, in the 82 recession did we just get through spending the entire federal treasury and create the largest deficit ever (from a surplus) in order to create jobs? Nope, the budget was actually ok back then. Bush created this job loss disaster on the backs of the people who pay taxes. Its disgusting. I don't have time for much more of this, signing off of this thread now.
