What a dip.

The Constitution provides for election by the electoral college. The popular vote is not how ANY Presidential election has EVER been determined.

You are pitifully ignorant of the most basic facts like most Bush hating morons.......

One might expect an educational author/developer's posts to be better-researched.

The Supremes voted 7-2 that Gore's attempt to cherry pick --to selectively recount a small percentage of votes in his stronghold counties -- was a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. It violated the Constitutional rights of the vast majority of Floridians, those in other counties whose votes weren't being given special attention.

Florida had a voting mechanism in place before the election, which was followed until Gore lost, at which time all sorts of conniptions and contortions were attempted in order to change the results. In your view, why are the voting rights of the majority of Floridians so less important to you than those who you selectively want to give special attention?

As to your "popular vote" argument, only Rip Van Winkle should raise this, as scores of articles and media reports were run to explain and discuss how the Electoral College works. Did you pay attention to the legion, detailed discussions? Each state holds its own "mini election," and each state has a certain number of "winner take all" electors based on the STATE'S popular vote. The nationwide "popular vote" doesn't cut it in presidential elections, and NEVER HAS.

You're guilty of the typical left wing game of trying to change the rules in the middle or at the end of the game after losing.
