Jesus did not say 'whoever see these signs' Jesus said when YOU see these signs the people to whom He was speaking. What did "generation" mean in this verse: Luke 11:30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. Jesus was telling that geneneration then alive that He was their Jonas. It is CONVENIENTLY a future generation a few verses later? Luke 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; This same warning appears in Matthew 23: Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 ¶ Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. This generation does not mean that generation. Futurists are willing to spit and fight and to make meaningless the very words of our Lord to keep their misbegotten hopes. In Matthew 23 'generation' mean "this" but in Matthew 24 when the aposltes asked "when" suddenly it means "that"??? Utter trash. The bible and Jesus did not say THAT GENERATION You and your people are wrong. Matthew 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. 3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? Take no comfort in being in the majority or supported by your temple. Christ only chose 12 disciples - not the crowd to reveal His truth. Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. All the signs did happen Sidney - Christ is not the liar your teachers are false - they defile scripture always. I could list pages of verse they defile... WE means THEY YOU means THEM I SAY UNTO YOU means I SAY UNTO THEM VERILY means MAYBE Here is just one of the verse you guys wrest to death: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Please realize that even basic language to you becomes meaningless.. What Paul really meant to say was "Then THOSE who see all those signs and are alive in Sidney's generation... but as for us - we will all be long gone.. so there is no real comfort in these words seeing that this promise is not to US at all. Perhaps it will be a comfort to Sidney 2000 years from now?" Does it alway have to be about YOU Sidney? Are you seriously ready to butcher your bible to fit YOU in? What a self seeking and serving generation THIS is. There are not so blind as those who WILL NOT see. They already see :-) Brian
