Benjamin Graham's "The Intelligent Investor" is one of the classics. There is an updated version available that's pretty good:

William O'Neil has written a lot of books, but his techniques really involve momentum plays as much as fundamentals.. he'd never say that but its earned his paper the nickname "People's Momentum Daily".

I can't say I have found a good book. I learned the basic definitions from the Motley Fool Book.

The rest I learned by listening to the analysts questions during the conference calls and the 10K discussions in the SEC filings. Keep in mind each industry has a different metric for success and that value stocks are measure differently from momentum stocks.

It really depends on your style. For tech stocks in particular it is important that you understand their business enough to understand why they are going to revolutionize their segment.
