Yup. That one was particularly incredible, since Bush had a paragraph in his State of the Union address articulating his view on why it was essential to act even though the threat was not yet imminent: Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late. Trusting in the sanity and restraint of Saddam Hussein is not a strategy, and it is not an option. whitehouse.gov How that got transformed into a claim that Bush lied about the imminency of the threat is one of the more fascinating mental disconnects of Bush's rabid opponents.

what's with these people? Quite elementary my dear. <g> They are a bunch of freakin liars who will say or do anything to try force their beliefs on the the average Joe or Jane voter. IMO, their focus is on trying to persuade the so-called swing voter (sometimes known as the rail sitters or coin flippers).
