More Kerry nonsense? I asked you to show me what part of the resolution authorizing military action Bush violated and you come back with "he didn't do that sufficiently" and "did not give full meaning to the words 'last resort'"? What a freakin' joke! The resolution did NOT say "if you get UN backing." It did not say "if you get France and Russia to go along." It did not say "if you come back and ask us again." It did not say "only after you've completed this prescribed process." It did not say anything that Bush didn't do. "Full meaning to the words 'last resort'"? Is he really hanging his hat on the definition of "last resort"? Kerry is a weasel.

He voted for military authorization either because it was the right thing to do or because he thought it would help him politically. Take your pick, but if it was because it was the right thing to do, then it's still the right thing to do and he should have the courage to say so as Lieberman has done. And if it was purely to score points with voters by appearing to be a hawk when he didn't really mean it, then he is immoral scum. Either way, he is backing away from it now purely to score with the angry left that seems to have seized the right to select the Democratic Party's nominee.

Now why don't you get off your lazy ass and surf over to thomas.loc.gov and read the authorization? H.J.Res.114, passed by the Senate last October by a 77-23 vote. What conditions did it impose that Bush violated, AmSpit? Can you find any?

You can't because they don't exist. Kerry is making them up now as an excuse for weaseling out of his vote. If he wasn't satisfied that the resolution contained sufficient "conditions" to cover his concerns, he should have joined the 23 senators who took a public stand against it by voting no. If he opposed it and still voted yes, then he is a political coward who doesn't deserve to be in the senate, much less the White House.

PS: The words "last resort" appear in the resolution EXACTLY the same number of times that anyone in the administration uttered the words "imminent threat" - ZERO.
