However whose fault is it really ? Why of course it's the fault of the fools that patronize their products

Now there is where you and I differ. The owners of Nike, and the owners of MLB have been granted special dispensation to be complete jerks under the system of mal-governance that has evolved in our capitalist system. They are outrageously rewarded, and the result is that they abuse this trust by cheating society. Nike, by underpaying its workers, and overcharging consumers, while maintaining the illusions of celebrity. MLB, by dint of its unique exemption from the anti-trust laws ought to feel obligated to provide an affordable product to the American public. Last time I looked, it would be ridiculous to say that this is the case. Stadium seating is an unaffordable luxury nowadays to all but the well-heeled. Another case of the abuse of the public trust.
