Ray I don't disagree about the integrity of the companies' managements but and overcharging consumers, BUT
Just Don't Buy It (sounds like NIKE eh! ;o).. Are people too weak that they can't boycott NIKE ? are there not alternatives ? and cheaper ones to boot ?

I guess that's where we do differ... I don't think people should have to be shepherded into making 'good' and 'logical' decisions...

You know here in Toronto one year they put up these life size fibreglass moose all over the city in different colours etc.. as a tourist gimmick.. Anyway out with the family one day at Ontario Place I spot this woman placing a 'maybe' 2 year old (not very steady) up 7 feet on the back of one of these moose sitting on a concrete dais.. She walks away to snap a photo.. Quite aghast I said something to her (rather bluntly) which I guess I shouldn't have as that just prolonged the time the kid was in harms way as she screamed at me.. Now had that child fallen and been seriously injured do you think for a minute that that woman would not have sued the a$$ off the city and province and park etc etc... for not protecting her child from her stupidity ? (and of course I get to foot part of that bill)... I bet she buys overpriced NIKES... :o)

Kastel
