I just noticed the Thanksgiving visit didn't help the Plastic Turkey's ratings in the polls.

Bush Numbers Virtually Unchanged by Thanksgiving Trip To Visit Troops in Iraq, New Zogby Poll Reveals

President George W. Bush’s unannounced trip to have Thanksgiving Dinner with troops in Baghdad has had relatively little impact on his job performance rating, which remains relatively unchanged from Mid-October and early November polling.

The most recent Zogby America poll of 1,002 likely voters chosen at random was conducted December 4-6, and has a margin of error of +/- 3.2 percentage points. Margins are higher in sub-groups.

Lizzie,

I was impressed by the raw emotional values of this Blumrich animation. He's on to something here. However, I can't see how this could in any way be associated with a Dean campaign, which must stay on the sunny side of life.

Americans are chumps for false optimism. That's what Reagan was selling with his "Morning in America" theme in 1984 (aptly hiding the truth in an Orwellian anti-depressant delivered via the eye balls of Americans).

This Blumrich animation may have to remain a cult favorite among those of us who still fondly remember the midnight "happenings" surrounding the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
