I'm not expecting such an extreme response, actually I'd be willing to bet you a Canadian nickel that US shares are down tomorrow and the POG is higher...bwdik.

I'm with you -- I think we can expect the Pavlovian response. Guess they still have Osama some where for an encore -- what do you think -- June or July, when Bush starts slipping again in the polls??

hundreds of billions of dollars wasted, 300 US soldiers killed, countless thousands of Iraqis killed, a lifetime of political capital flushed down the toilet, the US recast as vicious bully from righteous victim in the eyes of the world and now considered the most despised nation on the planet, all to capture one man...the most expensive manhunt ever, what a farking joke.

This likely will trigger a final blowoff rally in the stock market as well as that 5-10% dollar bounce I have been expecting. Gold and gold stocks likely to be massacred IMHO

could be indeed...this will hopefully present a great shorting opportunity.

doubtful, I expect a 3-5 day stock rally
but gold will not budge much at all
the USDollar might rise on DXY to 90-91
but a move to 93-94 seems way out of line

not one significant effect on trade gap, federal deficit, trade friction with China, debt suffocation, longterm interest rates, interest rate differentials, gold hedgebooks, China gold demand, crude oil production (could be wrong)

as I said before, gold is the underlying constant
the USDollar is the follower
I expect the US$ to get ahead of itself in the next couple weeks
or next couple days
we will see
