It IS possible Saddam's capture could hurt Dean.
Bush will get a pro-war boost out of this from swing-voter types. In fact we can all feel glad about this capture, though it may not change much in terms of the violence. However, maybe it will. We all hope it does. It will also give the troops morale a boost which they need.

One thing is clear from the capture though. Saddam was in a harmless state hiding like an animal. Whoever is behind the attacks, it isn't Saddam. Maybe he can tell us who it is. Would be nice to find any WMD's which may exist too. Or what if he tells us they don't exist and haven't existed since 1992? Also Saddam has billions hidden somewhere. Would be nice to get that money since the oil revenues aren't paying for anything yet.
