Thank you for gently nudging me into further examination of my perhaps unreasonable prejudice against those nasty coal fired polluters. I see now the global mercury story isn't nearly as simple as my likely preprogrammed mindset allowed.

I will prefer selection of companies which endeavor to reduce use and release of, airborne or not, this substance, while applying more consideration and care in dealing with household sources.

It seems as I child, I liked playing with mercury, and on occasion allowed a bit to escape. Guilt normally isn't an emotion I have to deal with, as I try to make right decisions in my activities. But I do have a few regrets, and apparently carelessness with this toxic substance lay at the root of one of them.
