Yes, I am certain American oil companies will be lining up anxiously to pump billions of dollars into Iraq in order to begin to exploit Iraqi's only to have their investments called into question by the world. Or perhaps to incite to Iraqi's to nationalize their investments. Whatever happens in Iraq in the future will fall under a tremendous amount of scrutiny. No fool at XOM CVX BP etc will be putting any investment in Iraq that cannot withstand a tremendous amount of scrutiny.
