K-man,

Say what?

"Cardinal Says U.S. Treated Saddam 'Like a Cow' "

Dang, those are my favorite pictures of Saddam. I especially like the way the medic with the latex gloves examines his head for lice (sure looked likely to me) and the red, almost Christmas-like glow the little flashlight gave to the inside of the monster's mouth when he was being checked for gingivitis and plaque.

People who don't want the monster tried are concerned about what he'll say, that he'll try to Milosevic-ize the trail. I couldn't care less what he says. What I want to see is the Big Rats testify against the Biggest Rat (looking for Tariq Aziz to tell the true tale) and then the parade of families whose husbands and fathers and sisters were brutalized under Saddam's rule--finally being able to confront their demon. I propose a special line at about 3.5 feet from the monster's cage where any Iraqi citizen can approach and spit on His Excellency.

Every time I hear anything from the Catholic Church's Peace and Justice Ministry department, I know I'm in for at least 5 minutes of pure nonsense. The cardinal in question would be better served showing more public compassion for all the victims through the centuries of priestly pederasty (real crimes) and not compassion for the "video shame" of showing a homeless man being given a gentle (albeit pre-execution) medical exam for bugs 'n bacteria.
