Are you aware that the UN had a resolution sanctioning
Saddam in the 1980s, for his human rights abuses (that is putting it mildly) - and we - the good 'ole USA - vetoed
it?

How's that for standing tall - thank you Ronnie Reagan.

See, Saddam was OUR guy then - our dictator, and we overlooked stuff like killing a few thousand of his people here or there....

I'm all for finding the truth, including ties between Bush and OBL's family. As you post, there probably is nothing more than rich families dealing with each other. If there is something else there, I believe there are enough reporters, pseudo reporters, politicians, etc., with resources, incentive and motive to discover this.

The problem with focusing on the grand conspiracy theories is that nothing gets done. Those who do nothing but criticize and think everything is part of a conspiracy are part of the problem. They are so concerned with being right that they fail to right any wrongs. They fail to recognize similar failings in European governments, inability to act by the UN, etc., and clearly disregard notions of what is right and wrong. I.e., there are people who actually rationalize actions of terrorists who target civilians, claiming it is the only way to respond to the grand conspirators (of their own minds) and the conspirators' vast resources.
