Do some research on "high crimes and misdemeanors." The current standard appears to be to impeach on the whim of the majority, and convict if there is a supermajority, provided that the President and Congress are from different parties. "it's a good thing to depose a tyrant" and the world and history will support this view. That is empty rationization after the fact, unless it is applied to all tyrants. Otherwise it is just a false front for the true reasons. Not everyone who promoted the crusade in Iraq had the same rationalization, but Saddam's disagreeable treatment of his subjects was not in the lists and ambiguous photographs. the atrocities committed by Saddam. If atrocities were a reason for conquest, then Myanmar's (Burma) should be invaded NOW!, don't wait for the U.N. or inspectors or information , INVADE NOW!! before the next election! TP
