Gibson's version is faithful to the Gospels.

From what I have read, I guess it is. Hard to do it without the Jews at the time sharing in the death with the Romans. Those that want to make a big deal of it will. On both sides.

CB,

The account in the Gospels do not line up with Roman historical knowledge of Pontius Pilate's procuracy, Jewish law, or the customs of the Sanhedrin at the time, which are well documented in the Talmud. It's not a recent academic thing to dispute the accounts.

I am not going to get dragged into that, but will simply point out that Gibson's version is faithful to the Gospels

Yes, to all those points in the Gospels that made the church accuse the perfidii Judaei of killing Christ for 2000 years.
