Hi Coug:

This is the only copy I've ever seen, and I bought it because mention of the ABC program caught my attention. ABC's John Stossel also slammed organic farming a couple of years ago, they are sensationalists, often dispensing with facts to make their point. However, I do believe that this recent epidemic of fat children can be directly correlated to the fact that since 1995, the dairy industry has been giving cows dangerous levels of antibiotics and hormones to increase milk production and have pushed milk products relentlessly. Children have been eating Twinkies and sitting in front of tvs for decades and yet they did not grow fat. I don't believe this is a cumulative effect. I believe it correlates directly with what the huge farm corporations have done to increase production to gain more profit.

On page 3 of the newspaper, DeVries Dairy is being allowed to expand its size doubling the noise, smell, pollution and fly problems for neighboring homes. It was a fair and balanced article giving both sides, but the little guy who lives near this place still loses.
