Colonel Gaddafi has confirmed that his country in the past sought to develop weapons of mass destruction, but has now declared his intention to dismantle this programme completely

Good. He knows we "have a little List" and he is on it.

Clark Would Have Caught bin Laden, Dumped Laura Bush By Scott Ott
Wesley Clark, the Democrat presidential candidate, said yesterday that if he were president he would have captured Usama bin Laden by now and jilted First Lady Laura Bush.

"I would have gotten him," said Mr. Clark of Mr. bin Laden. "And I would have divorced Laura. I just don't find the woman attractive."

A spokesman for the Clark campaign said, "The former general's rich fantasy life and spirituality contribute to his geopolitical acumen."

Mr. Clark also noted that if he were Franklin D. Roosevelt, he would have captured Hitler, Hirohito and Mussolini in early 1941.

<<Libya's leader Colonel Gaddafi has confirmed that his country in the past sought to develop weapons of mass destruction, but has now declared his intention to dismantle this programme completely, the British government said tonight.>>

Reagan was called dumb, slow, and whatever could be thought up but he sure scared the crap out of Gaddafi who has been pretty tame since. Won the Cold War as a sideline.

follows discussions over the last nine months between Libya, the United States and the UK

Gaddafi wants to be on the winning side. And he despises the islamists.

It might be his first step towards retirement. We'll see.

He is not totally OK in the bean, I think. He writes novels... The themes have been basically about the corrupting influence of the city.... He's a nostalgic, but not quite as whacked as Saddam, Mussolini or Hitler.

He's very odd in some ways - eccentric like a fox. At one time a good part of his security detail was women....

Doesn't anybody else think it odd that this announcement comes on the heels of the capture of Saddam?

You don't suppose Colonel Gaddafi's name resided on a paper or two inside the briefcase that was in SH's possession when he was captured.
