I seem to be calling all your posts absurd. I don't like doing that.

Iraq is currently a pinprick. The attacks are minor. They make headlines because any killing, Iraqi or American, is awful and we value all life. What has been accomplished is truly amazing. It's not perfect but given the time and resources, remarkable.

The actual numbers in both the invasion (liberation) and occupation (democratization) of casualties are tiny when compared to wars and policing actions throughout history.

As for the Isreali conflict - Israel is strong and supported by the US. The Palestinian leadership will soon come to the realization that the deal that Arafat turned down in Oslo was the best deal they will ever get and there will be a peace treaty. Arafat's inaction and power grab tactics, largely for his own benefit, have cost his people billions of dollars and countless thousands of deaths.
