Just checked out the free-for-a-year Computer Associates anti-virus and firewall program, thinking that the firewall protection program might have been the problem, but it apparently isn't, since I turned it off and the problem persisted.

Where does one go to change the default player to RealPlayer from Windows? Maybe if I switched the default player the problem would go away?

Thanks to you and thecow.
