Neal "even if apple doubled its market share, expect to hear people say, well, they still only have 6 percent of the market. No matter what apple does, for some, it will never be good enough." Actually it would make a huge difference because it would show a real trend change. As I said my concern is when you consider all of the positive news and releases in the last few years little has changed to the fact or perception about Apple. Until Apple can really sell to other than than Apple Core users nothing has been really changed IMHO. The Ipod while great as a product it didn't require users to go Apple OS machines to make a difference. I think many new Apple were great designers but it still isn't enough to make the Switch! BTW For Christmas I bought my son the (Iriver 395T a 512MB Flash MP3 player the size of a bic lighter with 16 hours of playing from a single AA battery). I am a huge MP3 proponent but felt the Flash player to be a better player for portability than the Ipod. Merry Xmas to you all!
