My Pavlovian instinct has already kicked in. It will be interesting to see how this translates from the factory farm to the retail shelf.

I recall a year ago reading about how the wholesale price of farmed salmon had collapsed. You'd never tell by following the prices on the fish counter at our retail outlets. It never ceases to amaze me the difference between what the farmer gets for food and what we pay.

Seven cents worth of wheat (or maybe 10 cents now that prices have stiffened) turns somehow into a $2.89 loaf of bread. Methinks there's some economic efficiencies that George Bush is happy not to find for the sake of his bribers.
