Coug: One more point about range-feed cattle... up until they go to a feed lot, they are de-facto organic. There's lots of cattle in my area, including a herd next door, but they all just get sold to feedlots, not organic feedlots, which would give the the ranchers a better price. Too bad.

After banning shipments of Canadian beef into the US on the basis of a single cow, a cow that originally came frm the US to Canada in the first place, now the USDA is saying beef is safe.

Well what is one supposed to assume?
1) They were telling lies about the safety of Canadian Beef?
2) They are telling the truth about US beef now?

Which way is it, cause one is surely a big FN fat lie?
Add in the point that the US still allows ground up sheep parts to be fed to cows and consider the rampant deer wasting disease that is going around in Wisconsin and other states, and the fact that we test so so few animals and we are supposed to believe threre is no cause for concern when one way or another they are big FN liars!

Taking that into consideration, what do you think?
Were they telling lies to ban Canadian beef from coming into the US or are they telling lies now about the safety of US beef.

Which one is the lie?
