"It is the dismissal of theism. Nothing more to it. So there really isn't anything to speak for, only to speak against ...

I agree that it is merely a reaction to something and in and of itself, it is a nothing. However this type of reaction can cause waves of social movement and even result in government entities. All that I am asking is for those obviously vocal spokespersons for the nothings to speak up for something.

Dance by the pale moon light if you like; but, when the focus of your dance is to deny the energy of the sun ... it looks more like penis envy than anything else.

"It is the dismissal of theism. Nothing more to it."

But that "nothing" never just sits still does it?

I have only seen it as a dismal dissembled pretext to what is right and what is wrong with regard to the human condition. It does not work unless one can provide an alternative foundation for human morality. So atheists are obliged to invent one, promote it politically and to defend it against challenges. Such periodically gains enough momentum to be used to establish order in human society:

For starters ... 60 million killed by Stalin, Lennin, and Trotsky. Mao only got to kill 35 million. Then there was the lesser Pol Pot who only killed 2 million Cambodians after closing all the normal institutions of a modern country, including banks, hospitals, schools, and stores and of course any exercise of religion was banned so's he could better indoctrinate the folk.”

Do you have better examples?

Well, no. There's a lot more to it. You can dismiss theism without attempting to deny other people their theism.

I have no objection to your dismissing theism in your own lives. I do have an objection to your trying to impose those beliefs on me.
