India and Pakistan will solve their problems if Pakistan survives this period and if pakistan falls into chaos, India will be threatened. I got the shivers when musharif was almost hit and then when he was almost hit again. The Pakistanis are going to have to deal with the islamists, arent they and they are going to have to decisively defeat them. Mike

over a period of time, india will have peace with pakistan. its a matter when, not if. after all the 2 countries have existed separately for only about 55 years, but share a common cultural heritage of about 5000 years

I am not overly optimistic about the short-term prospects of peace with a country that has a statue of a nuclear missile in every town square. H Greenway just was gushing about the improved India-Paki "peace process" in the Boston Globe today, and that makes me really pessimistic, because Greenway is reliably wrong about everything he touches.
