My point was that the majority of voters don't agree with Dean's stand on Iraq or legalizing gay marriages. Those voters are not interested in nuances/exact words. They know where they stand on both issues--support President's move on Iraq & do not want gay marriages legalized. If Dean does not moderate his views on both those issues, he will not gain votes necessary to win.

My opinion against legalizing gay marriages between 2 humans other than man&woman is based purely on logic. It would result in an even more chaotic American social culture. If nature intended that all human beings should have interchangeable gender, 2 distinct sexes would not have been necessary. We would all have same body parts & be capable of reproducing offspring. Why design 2 unique human anatomies, if nature intended everyone to mix & match at will?
