I know precisely what jihad means both in the traditional way as well as the current meaning of the militant extremist usage of the term. 1% of the world's Muslim population are militant extremists. They define this jihad as holy war. They are calling for the killing of all Jews and Christians and the defeat of America as a holy duty. They are promising the reward of 72 virgins in heaven as the reward for dying to accomplish that killing. The measly 1% is 15 million fanatical soldiers. They have been perpetrating deadly attacks against America for 10 years. You call it what you wish...but since it walks, talks and looks like a duck; and declares itself to be a duck - I'll go along with the bad guys and Boykin and agree that it is a duck. >"There's no doubt about the literal translation from Arabic. According to Muslim scholars, the word "jihad" appears 60 times in the Qur'an, Islam's holy book, and it means "holy war" or "holy struggle."< The mere fact that some (even the majority of) Muslims believe obl, zawahiri and omar, and the tens of thousands of followers they trained, and the 1.5 million Muslim extremists who follow them, perverted the term jihad to initiate this war does not mean this is not a holy war to all of the extremists. You and the Muslim Mullahs keep preaching to Americans that this is not a holy war. You are talking to the wrong audience. You need to convince those who started, named and are perpetrating this war in the name of Allah. I would like to see that. uw
