That assumes that they have the internal controls that are correctly accounting for all the costs. Maybe they do, and maybe they don't.

Keep in mind, my comments regarding Dell's customer and tech support services may be isolated to those portions of the organization. However, the confusion and inefficiencies that I see in these organizations may not have spread to the other parts of Dell, at least, not yet.

dell may want kids to use dell- rather than apple- so they will use dell in future when they (and the businesses they work for)buy computers at prices that dell can make a small profit on.
