Jewel, I don't know how Catholicism is taught these days. In my day there was the Baltimore Catechism. It was a series of Q's and A's that were memorized. No one ever referenced a Bible in any religious training I ever had. Never. You probably didn't know that. I never learned about Jacob or Soloman, never had a clue that Abraham was the founding father of my religion. I only learned about Mary, Joseph, and Jesus and the Apostles. The whole story of Jesus was framed around the glory of poverty. I memorized the Beatitudes when I was a child. Blessed are the poor, the meek, etc., etc. And the stations of the cross. That's what I was taught.

I told you that anecdote so you could understand why someone might find capitalism unchristian. Learn from it or not as you wish.
