When did I ever say that? Never.

I don't wonder you're upset if you think that's what I was saying.

I know full well that you have a very well developed sense of ethics.

All I'm saying is that those ethics have a religious basis, and do not originate purely from atheist belief. Just as even the most feminine woman has some testosterone in her body, so the most atheist adherent has religion as an inherent part of their psychology. You can't get rid of either one.

It is very funny when people try to get you to "understand" things that are simply their opinion. How well I remember all those conversations when people tried to get me to "understand" that their God was the only God. Sigh. It may suck, but there's a lot of that view going around, and not a thing you can do about it. They are as firmly committed to their one and only belief, as you are to seeing more than one side of every belief.

Nothing's going to change that. Sometimes the number of people who get infected with that meme will be smaller, and sometimes greater, but it won't ever go away, I think.
