JDN, It is pressure from the Feds on drug control which is making prescription pain relief so difficult to obtain. I have several clients with chronic intractable pain who have difficulty in obtaining needed pain medication. Some of these people just commit suicide to escape from their pain.

Rush was an idiot...he may have started trying for more pain medication, but he damn well knew 80-100 pills a day were not for pain. Had he told his doctor/s about his overuse of painkillers they would have known the cause of his hearing loss and perhaps stopped the damage.
