The long and short of it is both countries need the immigrants. I know that Canada has encouraged Chinese and Muslims. You see most Hong Kong and Taiwan ones on the west coast, I believe. Since 911, I have come to look upon the Muslims as a bad deal for immigration. The Religion will allow the least integration. And we are at war with them. But no one wants to face up to banning them. I like to say it is only the "Islamists," but what moderates that do exist are going to build up a hate for us. Our best bet is if they fall away from practicing their religion. Most people who come here do. It is the locals, and the Spanish, who are becoming active Christians. I have heard that the CIA is recruiting like mad among American Muslim males and sending them abroad. "Hey Mom, got a new job. Can't say what it is, but I will be out of the country for awhile."
