Your reaction to my comments is why it is so difficult to discuss this area It is fairly simple to discuss, if one treats the radicals as different from the mainstream. Your friends are going to have to put up with the dislike they run into. Yep, they have, and they thrive in their "western neighborhood".

I would be much happier with moderate American Muslims if I had seen some evidence that they are turning in Muslim extremists that they know. Instead we have a constant outcry from American Muslim organizations about our treatment of them. Bill, let me try and explain in fairly simple terms : Like most adverse things in life, there are 3 stages to this too: denial, followed by reluctant acceptance, followed by a resolve to change the situation. Methinks you are expecting more than can be delivered in the short timeframe we have had this situation.
