I think you underestimate the number and commitment of Palestinians who will never trade the good land that the Israelis were given for the crowded, basically unfarmable land that they are being pushed onto. Plus, the demographics are such that in order to survive as a nation, Palestine will need much more land than anybody is considering. Land for peace sounds good as a slogan. I frankly doubt it will work for at least the next two generations, if then.
