First let me thank you for the time and work you do for the thread Part of the problem with "cash" is that you ask to include mutual funds and option positions as cash. I keep a lot of money in money market and short term bond funds but I like to have a cushion for opportunistic investing, options and CREE and RMBUS type situations. Also just because of possibilities like another 9/11 or worse I like to have pure cash that is the equivalent ot 5 years of living expenses.
